Our wonderful teachers are the secret of Kinderballet's success and among the most highly qualified in preschool ballet!
We look for experienced teachers with a passion to teach ballet and especially preschoolers.
In Summary
- We provide everything you'll need to teach for us (except the basics like portable music player)
- You teach our programs, you are not expected to make up the classes
- You don't have to buy anything from us, (or anyone else) to teach our classes
- We pay you to train
- We provide you with classes in your area
- Days and times to suit you (as much as possible)
- We provide you with props and music
- Teachers DO NOT receive payments from parents, nor are they expected to chase people for payments
- Our pay rates are competitive, especially when you consider that we do not expect much more of our teachers than to just take the class (you won't spend the night before each class preparing for class) and we make sure we pay within one week - you won't be waiting for months for payment
- Teachers are expected to attend a compulsory orientation day before the beginning of each term
What we'll Require From You
- *Responsibility* - in looking after the children placed in your care
- Ballet teaching experience and/or Ballet teaching qualifications
- Experience working with young children
- Ability to communicate to and deal with parents
- Hold a current (or willing to apply for) a 'Working with Children' card or 'Blue Card' (depending on your state)
- A passion for teaching young children
- Be caring & reliable
- Ideally, your own car - it just makes it easier!

What we are NOT looking for
Please note that we are looking for 'Dance Teachers' who will be available to teach on an ongoing basis, rather than 'Dancers' looking for temporary work between contracts.
Unlike some other preschool ballet activities, we are not looking for someone at a beginner level in ballet or teaching ballet, we are not looking for someone to 'give it a go' because it looks like fun. What we do at Kinderballet may look like fun but at it's heart is a brilliant program delivered by brilliant teachers, a rare combination that we strive to maintain.
